The initial lambencies manifested as subtle shifts in the perception of time. Moments stretched, then compressed, and the boundaries between past, present, and potential blurred into a kaleidoscope of possibility. It was a period of intense experimentation, a frantic dance of understanding the fundamental laws of this…resonance.
Legend speaks of a Weaver, a being of pure lambency, who attempted to construct a map of all possible realities. A tapestry of existence woven with threads of intention and consequence. The process, however, proved destabilizing, creating rifts and folds in the fabric of reality. The Weaver vanished, leaving behind only fragments of the Loom.
Later, groups of individuals – the Cartographers – emerged, attempting to quantify and categorize the lambencies. They developed intricate instruments, devices designed to measure the fluctuations in resonance. These instruments were invariably flawed, producing results that defied logic and often led to…unexpected outcomes. One particularly obsessed Cartographer attempted to build a ‘Resonance Amplifier’ – a project that ended with the spontaneous creation of a small, sentient cloud.
